JobHunter AI Pro ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users filter and find relevant job listings on LinkedIn. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Data We DO NOT Collect

We want to be crystal clear: we do not collect any personal data. Specifically, we do NOT collect:

• Your name, email, or contact information
• Your LinkedIn profile or account data
• Your browsing history
• Your job applications or resume
• Your location or IP address
• Any financial or payment information
• Any health or personal information

3. Data Stored Locally

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in storage API:

This data syncs across your Chrome browsers if you're signed into Chrome, but it is never sent to our servers or any third parties.

4. How the Extension Works

The Extension operates entirely within your browser:

• Content Analysis: When you visit LinkedIn Jobs pages, the Extension reads the job listing content displayed on the page to apply your filters.
• Local Processing: All filtering logic runs locally in your browser. No job data is sent anywhere.
• Notifications: Smart Alerts use Chrome's built-in notification system. Notifications are generated locally.

5. Permissions Explained

The Extension requires certain permissions to function:

Storage Permission

Used to save your preferences and settings locally. No data is transmitted externally.

ActiveTab Permission

Allows the Extension to read job listings on the current LinkedIn page when you're actively using it.

Notifications Permission

Enables browser notifications for Smart Alerts when new matching jobs are found.

Alarms Permission

Allows periodic checking for new jobs (for Smart Alerts feature).

Host Permission (linkedin.com)

Required to access LinkedIn Jobs pages to read and filter job listings. The Extension only operates on LinkedIn job pages and cannot access any other websites.

6. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

7. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API, your data benefits from Chrome's built-in security measures. We have no servers that could be breached because we don't store your data.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.

10. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, etc.) don't apply. However, you can:

• Clear your data: Uninstall the Extension to remove all locally stored preferences.
• View stored data: Use Chrome's developer tools to inspect what's stored in chrome.storage.sync.
• Disable features: Turn off any feature you don't want to use.
